Roman Stephens

Roman joined Emerge Living in 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing nearly 25 years of expertise in fund management, development, operations, and asset management to the firm. In this role, he leads Emerge Living’s operational platform, shaping and executing strategies that drive the success of the company’s growing multifamily portfolio. His leadership focuses on creating value for residents, associates, and investors through innovative operating strategies and an exceptional customer experience.

Working alongside Emerge’s executive leadership team, Roman provides strategic vision, clear direction, and operational excellence. His approach prioritizes sustainable growth, a strong organizational culture, and best-in-class service delivery across the company’s diverse portfolio.

Before joining Emerge Living, Roman served as Chief Operating Officer at Beam Living, a Blackstone portfolio company in New York City. In this role, he led the operations of a premier multifamily business unit serving one of the most dynamic rental markets in the country. Previously, Roman was Senior Vice President at Northland Investment Corporation, where he oversaw operations for more than 26,000 units across 14 markets nationwide. His leadership experience also includes serving as Vice President for Camden Property Trust’s Texas division, managing 20,000 units across four markets, as well as holding operational and development roles at Hines Interests. His career is marked by a deep commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and creating thriving communities.

Roman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
